Once we have moved from commitment to community, we can see that that was God’s purpose for us, and His purpose with us, all along. He has several reasons that He wants us in community, and we can see those reflected in the account of the community of Nehemiah’s day.

Background: Last week we looked at moving from commitment to community. As we look back to chapter 7 before hurtling forward to chapter 11, we are remined that God’s goal throughout Nehemiah is to rebuild His people, His community. Community is important to God and we will see three reasons that we are here as a community.
