“Working hard or hardly working?” What might initially seem an amusing anecdote or a humorous cliché, that phrase should give us pause. When it comes to the various areas of one’s life, whether they be your job, your relationships, your spiritual life, or the Lord are you working hard? Or hardly working? God wants to accomplish things in and through our lives, but He doesn’t want to work with lazy people. Are you ready for God to build to build something in or through you? Are you ready to work at it?
We’ve seen that Nehemiah was a man who cared, as well as a man of great faith. In the third chapter of the book of Nehemiah we see that he is a hard worker too. We see from his example some important ways we too can be hard working builders for God.
