Any time we try to accomplish anything of meaning in life while success is not guaranteed, opposition is. There will always be someone or something will come up that will try to delay or destroy the work. Sometimes that person or thing is us even. It is in those times that we have a choice to make. Do we agree and give up, or do we persevere in the face of opposition?

As God’s man for the job Nehemiah has cared deeply, demonstrated great faith, and worked hard to the glory of God. This was all not without opposition. Tonight, we will see from God’s word the opposition that Nehemiah faced as well as how he expertly navigated handled it. We will look at a couple of commitments that we can make when faced with opposition.
