It seems like in life that just when things are going right, and we are making progress, that there is someone waiting to try and knock us back. As we saw in the last few weeks that threat is at times from the outside. At other times, the threat comes from within. And still other times the threat is in our face attack against our character, or even our person.

We have seen over the last month that Nehemiah is a man of great character and excellent leadership skill. He has masterfully navigated attacks against his people, by his people against one another, and tonight, we will see from God’s word how Nehemiah handles a threat against himself. As we look at the text, we will discover 4 ways we can address attacks against us, or we could call them 4 strategies for squashing slander.
