Much of my career I spent on the Road. There's literally nothing like visiting a client, sitting down face to face and hashing out any issues that you may have. I've always felt that major business deals are best done over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

That's why it was so dismaying to see the results of United Airlines on Tuesday. They announced a 2.6 billion dollar loss for the last quarter, and saddest of all they reported that 6,000 employees would be laid off. This is a company in a dire situation.
