We have all seen them before. The employees wandering from his or her work stations to breakroom and back again. Staring mindlessly at computer screens while consuming energy drinks in an effort to make it to quiting time. The endless cycle of going through the motions with no motivation, counting down the days until they get enough PTO to escape the mad house. All while those in positions of power are maneuvering for the next title grab creating siloed empires of yes people. Ugh! Sounds like a really bad business movie from the 80's, right?

The sad part of this is how many of us can relate to this in our own workplaces. Not feeling appreciated, no real motivation to succeed, numbers only please and don't tell me how you feel becuase we really don't care. If you are marking off the calendar for the next PTO day and have developed that thousand-yard stare, you may be working for Corporation Z.
