Andrea is enthusiastic about the long-term performance and integrity of materials exposed to aggressive environments at the macro and micro level. She has experience in various industry sectors such as: transportation, oil and gas and tech. Andrea received her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with concentration in Materials from the University of South Florida. And she holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta in Venezuela.
She is currently a Semiconductor Packaging Quality and Reliability Engineer at Solidigm (pronounced: Soli-dime), a leading global provider of innovative NAND flash memory solutions, where she is responsible for leading the NAND package-level reliability qualification from concept to high volume manufacturing.
Andrea is a proud SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) lifetime member and a co-founder of the SHPEtinas program that focuses on celebrating and empowering Latinas in STEM. She is also the co-author of the recently published “Corrosion Management for a Sustainable Future” book published by AMPP (Association of Materials Protection and Performance).
