For safety concerns, names and voices have been removed, changed or distorted. This episode was created by a Calafia fellow. Hosting today's episode is a guest speaker.
This episode unearths a genealogy brimming with cynicism and corruption between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the zionist entity, dating back to the Kingdom’s inception in 1922. We often hear about the zionism deeply embedded in the west, but do not address how Arab governments perpetuate this settler-colonial ideology for their own imperial benefit. Calafia welcomes guests: Professor of Arabic, Jordanian native, and former employee of the Jordanian military, to encourage Jordanians to forge solidarity with their next-door neighbors.
