After last Monday’s March4Justice rallies across Australia, the Prime Minister… Scott Morrison made a tactical error. He opened his fat entitled mouth and effective said women in Australia should be thankful that they can protest in this country without being shot. #AusGovFail
Last week Australian Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton called the deportation of New Zealanders as, taking out the trash. This week it’s about the Australian government sending a 15 year old back to New Zealand alone, a place he barely knows. Australia is an equal opportunity hater. It doesn’t matter whether you’re Australian or from another country. #AusGovFail
The Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine rollout is resuming in Europe after no proof could be found that the COVID-19 vaccine causes blood clots. Great news for Australian’s, if only the Federal government could pull its finger out and get the jab for Australian’s. The second phase of the immunisation programme began today (Monday 22 March 2021) with an abysmal number of Australian’s vaccinated as part of the first phase which began just over a month ago. #AusGovFail
Maybe it should be called QANTAS Aid, the amount of money the Federal government keeps throwing at the national airline. #AusGovFail
Canada’s Conservative Party is moving on a platform that the climate crisis does not exist. Just what this world needs, more old white men (not always old, white or men), sticking their selfish heads in the sand.
Some good news this week, the regional television network here in Australia, WIN has decided to dump the waste of airtime known as Sky After Dark on Rupert Murdoch’s Sky News Australia.
Personal security when we’re out and about is something we should all be looking in to. After the horrific kidnapping and murder of a British woman walking home recently, social media has been awash with tips and tricks on your smartphone helping you stay safe and trackable in an emergency. Read the tips here from the BBC News Online webpage on this story: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-56373292
ABC Radio Melbourne journalist and host, Virginia Trioli has written an interesting opinion piece on ABC News Australia online, comparing the differences between struggling Australian’s and the man who is thankful of the pandemic for the amount of money he’s made. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-20/what-does-centrelink-recipient-have-common-gerry-harvey/13257024
Alarming details of young terrorist in Melbourne. Thankfully Victoria Police have made arrests and there is no known current threat.
JobKeeper to go in Australia in a little over a week’s time. Prime Minister Scott Morrison said it was time to go. I agree whole heartedly… except I agree that it’s time for him to go. #AusGovFail
*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***
This is the final episode of season three of the podcast, but also the final episode for the moment. I’m looking at doing some special episodes on a specific topic in the coming months. Whether the Cory Talks podcast returns in regular weekly episodes and what format that would take, is still being considered.
The best thing to do is to stay subscribed on your podcast platform of choice and ensure you have the website bookmarked – corytalks.com
Thank you so much for listening to the last three seasons and a particularly big thanks to those who have listened to the podcast on YouTube. I did some counting mid last week and was blown away by the fact since launching the podcast in May 2020, I’ve had a little over 300 plays of Cory Talks on YouTube. I certainly did not expect that.
I appreciate your support of the show.
