Count Strahd von Zarovich slew Elric's family and the love of his life. He has come to Barovia to do the same to Strahd where he sleeps, but Strahd appears to no longer be Barovia's prisoner. As Elric and his fellow adventurers seek their fortune here, their travels bring them to Vallaki, in no small part to cure Drift's recent exposure to lycanthropy.
