  • Dentist Reveals: The #1 Reason You Should NOT Get Dental Implants

Thinking about dental implants? Most people expect to be judged on their bone or their gums. That is not the number one reason implants get turned down. The real reason surprises almost everyone who sits in my chair, and it has nothing to do with how your teeth or jawbone look on an x-ray. It is about what is happening inside your body long before surgery is even scheduled.

In this video, I'm going to explain the true number one reason I tell patients not to get dental implants, and why it has almost nothing to do with their teeth.

    ❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED
What is the biggest reason someone should not get dental implants?
The most common reason is medical history, not the condition of the mouth. If uncontrolled conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or blood clotting issues are present, the body cannot safely handle surgery and months of healing, so implants need to wait until those conditions are managed by a physician.

Does age determine if you can get dental implants?
No, age alone does not decide candidacy. A healthy 70 year old with controlled blood pressure and good bone density can be a far better candidate than a younger person with uncontrolled blood sugar or an untreated autoimmune condition.

    Can dental implants fail?
Yes, implants can fail if they are not cleaned daily or if follow up visits are skipped, since bacteria can build up around the implant just like it does around natural teeth. Catching problems early, while they are still small and easy to treat, is what keeps implants working for decades instead of needing replacement.

  • 80% Bone Loss? You May Still Be Able To Get Dental Implants

πŸ“Œ Book your Office Implant Consultation here: https://dental4.me/bemissdentalcare/1

Were you told you have 80% bone loss and cannot get dental implants? That number may not mean what you think it means. Most patients hear that figure and assume it is a final answer, but how much bone you lost matters less than where your remaining solid bone actually is. Many offices never even look past the number before sending patients home with no plan.

In this video, I'm going to explain what a bone loss percentage really measures, why it does not rule out dental implants, and what options exist even for severe cases.

    ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS
0:00 80% Bone Loss? You May Still Be Able To Get Dental Implants
0:27 What a bone loss percentage actually measures
1:06 The jawbone most people never lose
1:40 Why some patients still get told no
2:22 Why a 3D CT scan matters more than a percentage
2:46 How implant planning and robotic precision work
3:13 Two options when bone will not hold an implant
    3:46 Remote anchorage implants explained
4:40 Who really cannot get dental implants
5:16 Who this applies to and next steps

    ❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Does 80% bone loss mean I cannot get dental implants?
No. That percentage only measures bone loss around the roots of your natural teeth, not your actual jawbone, which almost everyone still has intact and usable for an implant foundation.
Why was I told I have no bone for implants?
Many patients are told no without ever getting a 3D CT scan, which is the only way to see where solid, usable bone actually sits in the jaw, instead of relying on a two dimensional x-ray or a guess.
What can be done if the bone right under a missing tooth will not hold an implant?
Dentists can anchor implants into denser bone elsewhere in the face, called remote anchorage, or rebuild the area with bone grafting so a standard implant can be placed later.
