RAIN
The RAIN acronym was first introduced by Michele McDonald and later developed by Tara Brach. This meditation follows Tara Brach's version.
RAIN unfolds in four movements, listening to the emotions held in the body.
Recognize what is here, what you are actually feeling, before any interpretation.
Allow it to be. Say yes to everything that is present, including what we usually turn away from. It is often there that the part of us most in need of attention is waiting.
Investigate with gentleness and with kindness, in the body. Listening and curiosity open onto inner spaces we did not know were there.
Nurture : offer yourself a soft attention. This is where a space of peace and awareness opens, and with it creativity, and the essence of life itself.
