Meet the very first astrologer that got me into astrology. I used to watch David Palmer, The Leo King, everyday as a teenager on Youtube and it's such an honor to have him on my show!!

Astrology is moving into a new era. In this episode of Cosmic Compass, Helena Woods sits down with David Palmer, the Leo King, to explore how predictive astrology, AI, historical cycles, and locational astrology are shaping what comes next. David shares how he built his astrology brand, from his early YouTube videos and whole brand from the daily "energy meter" to developing new technology for astrological research. Helena and David also get into the questions astrologers wrestle with: Is astrology about fate or free will? How do you handle public predictions and online backlash? And how can astrologers stay authentic while building a community? We talk about... David's journey from DJ and astrologer to building The Leo King brand How historical patterns and rare transits inform mundane astrology and prediction What AI might mean for astrology—and how David is developing Hypergate AI How astrocartography and local space can offer new ways to understand place The importance of eclipses, lunar nodes, minor aspects, and timing techniques Why astrologers may need more collaboration, community, and real-world connection David's advice for navigating uncertainty: stay present and show up for one another If you're curious about astrology's future, the role of technology, or the cycles that may be shaping our world, this iconic episode will be one you love!!

The fastest way to understand what is happening in your life right now? Learn to read transits like a timing map. Helena Woods breaks down the predictive astrology technique she uses most, showing how planetary movements reveal when themes are unfolding, repeating, or about to peak in your chart. If you have ever wondered why certain seasons feel charged, why opportunities suddenly appear, or why the same life lesson keeps returning, this episode gives you a practical way to track the pattern. Helena explains how to read a transit wheel, how a bi-wheel works, and why timing becomes much clearer when you look at the transiting planets alongside your natal chart. You'll discover:

• How transits show what is already in motion, instead of "causing" events
• Why the same planetary cycle can echo past moments in your life, like Venus retrograde repeating a storyline from 2018
• How Jupiter transits can bring expansion, opportunity, or simply "more" of whatever that house represents
• Why some transits affect you personally while others describe family, clients, children, siblings, or community
• How to spot the transits that matter most when several hit at once
• Why annual profections and other timing techniques make astrology far more precise

Helena also shares real chart examples from her own life, including marriage, moving abroad, client growth, content creation, and the way different houses get activated by different planets. She explains why a planet landing in a house is only part of the story, and how rulership, chart synthesis, and the natal promise change the interpretation. This episode is essential listening if you want to stop treating astrology like vague symbolism and start using it as a real timing tool.

My dear friend and fellow astrologer Lauren Hansen of Astro Betch joins Cosmic Compass for a sharp, funny, deeply honest conversation about what predictive astrology actually reveals - and why some charts seem to carry more intensity than others.

Lauren opens up about the boredom that pushed her from a corporate job into astrology, the moment she realized she had been reading her own chart wrong for years, and why moon signs, rising signs, and the ruler of the body matter so much in relationships, health, and major life events. She and the host compare notes on Scorpio perception, Gemini overthinking, and the strange accuracy that happens when a client finally lets you in.

You'll discover:

• Why birth times are often wrong, and why Lauren says you need the birth certificate, not the baby book
• How timing techniques like eclipses, planetary returns, progressions, and zodiacal releasing stack together
• Why some transits are less about "good" or "bad" and more about whether you're ready to use them
• How astrology can help you mitigate risk, make better choices, and understand your own patterns before life forces the lesson

The episode also goes deep on a subject most astrologers avoid: death charts. Lauren and the host unpack their ethics around looking at public figures' transits after they pass, why people get uncomfortable with predictive astrology, and how examples like Dolly Parton and Hayden Panettiere show the power of layered timing. They also talk about the real-life impact of grief, how death changes families, and why talking about loss more openly can make us better humans. If you've ever wondered whether astrology is just symbolic storytelling or a genuine tool for forecasting life's turning points, this conversation gives you the clearest, most compelling case for both. Perfect for astrologers, skeptics, and anyone who wants to understand why timing matters more than we think.

Lauren Hansen is the astrologer behind AstroBetch known for her predictive readings, compatibility work, and practical take on how astrology can be used to navigate real life. She shares astrology content across Instagram, TikTok, and her website, and appears regularly on the Human Design Podcast for monthly astrology weather.

Your life's biography is written in the natal promise of your birth chart. And the transits, progressions and zodiacal releasing shows you WHEN those stories get activated and come alive.

• Transits show what's happening now
• Zodiacal releasing shows the bigger life chapters and changes
• Progressions show the symbolic shift you're going throguh

A "peak" period doesn't always mean good news. It usually means the story is loud, active, and impossible to ignore.

But there's way more to zodiacal releasing than peak periods.

This is why I love astrology; it helps you trust the season you're in instead of forcing the next one. If you've ever felt like life was changing before you could name it, this is for you.

⚡️products that will blow your mind 🤫

I've had this vision for over a year. I've changed the name 6 times (it's not New Generation, now it's The New Wave)

This is a new paradigm I'm building for astrologers across the world, where skilled excellence, heart and integrity…also gift you the life you've been dreaming of.

People keep telling me that I've disrupted the astrology space. I've shown people a new way of what's possible.

No gate-keeping. No stuffy elitism. HEART. Open-mindedness. Collaboration. Abundance. Curiousity. Joy. Magic.

As someone once said, "you make astrology come alive."

That's the energy of the New Wave Astrology movement.

I'm here to support you in building an astrology world that's steeped in abundance, wonder, authenticity and heart. Where we collaborate instead of compete.

One where we're no longer hiding.

Where we shine, are proud of our abilities and achievements and sing our magic from the rooftops!

Because if there's one thing that showing up on the internet for 10 years, despite my fear of being judged and seen and criticised, has taught me: It's that expressing yourself honestly online will bring you back home to yourself.

Sharing your truth, releasing your creativity and emptying your throat chakra daily is deeply healing.

Shining our lights vulnerably online heals our inner child relationship.

The willingness to be seen heals the aspect within us that once felt invisible and unaccepted.

It is your obligation to SHINE YOUR LIGHT

Because when you do, everyone around you soars and see what's possible.

The earth rises when you do 🐦‍🔥

This is the new wave. It's refreshing, electric and alive.
