The council dismissed concerns about its finances at the full council meeting at Clanfield Centre, Clanfield on September 28. 

Cllr John Hutchinson asked Cllr Charles Louisson, Finance portfolio holder, about what he called 'his rosie financial report’. And in light of the situation with Birmingham City council could he 'provide confidence that we (EHDC) are in a different situation' which he did.
