I met William Jawando when he was 10 and mastering the fine art of being a brat at his parent's and my place of employment. He was bright and quick witted and had a mouth on him. He grew up to become a man who put those skills to work for him to help other people. Currently, he is a Councilman at Large in Montgomery County, Maryland. I hope he has the chance to share his voice and passion for public service with many more people in the future.
