This week, Tori and Heena explore the history of guidance counselors in education and how scholars can behind from having more counselors involved in their lives. To talk about this subject, they interview Vickie Wilson, she's a former guidance counselor for Talbot County Public Schools. She talks about her experiences as a counselor and how counselors of color are needed and valued in our community. She also speaks on recruiting educators of color and how we can focus on retaining them as well.
