Mark 11:1-12

Countdowns are exciting. Whether it is the days leading up to a birthday or the seconds before the ball drops on New Years Eve, there is a certain sense of anticipation with these moments culminating in something worth celebrating. As Christians, we feel the same excitement when it comes to the resurrection of our Savior. In this series, entitled “Countdown to Calvary,” we will be looking at Christ’s final week on Earth as recorded by Mark.

• Identify some ways we make Jesus into what we desire instead of letting him transform us into his image.

• Reflect on your response to Jesus in your life: are you a fan or a follower? Find one way you can follow Jesus more closely.
