Inclusion is a tricky word in the evangelicalism of 2020 but it wasn't for Jesus. Mark helps us to reimagine the citizenry of God's Kingdom here in chapter 9.

To extend welcome to a child - and thereby share in their status - is not merely a pious gesture; no, it’s an act aligned with the heart of the Kingdom of God. Or to say that another way, inclusivity is at the heart of the Kingdom. To be inclusive in a community of Jesus is to extend the welcome of Jesus. Period. Without exception.
