We Christians often like to categorize ourselves by “spiritual gifts.” On the one hand, this can help us focus our service to God and others. But on the other hand, categorizing can trip us up. What if the Spirit wanted to empower us to work outside of our so called “gifting?” Would we be open to that? The Spirit is looking for willingness in us so that people can be helped.
