Technology can be abused if it lands in the wrong hands.  We saw that many times on Star Trek and other Sci-Fi shows which basically represent what the future holds.  Luckily, in today's big tech environment, we do NOT have to worry about any kind of control or abuse.  Big Tech will never abuse their power!  (Insert sarcastic look here)  Let's talk....
