GOD'S STORY: Counting the Cost — Luke 14:25-35

 

•  To follow Jesus, one must willingly give up everything they are and everything they have.

 

Four marks of a true disciple:

  1. A true disciple willingly gives up everything they ARE. (vv. 25-27)
  2. A true disciple willingly gives up everything they HAVE. (v. 33)
  3. A true disciple counts the COST. (vv. 28-32)
  4. A true disciple impacts the WORLD. (vv. 34-35)
