When they told him he'd never make it in country music because he played "piano", Phil decided to prove them wrong.  He wrote hit songs for Tim McCraw, Jo dee Messina and Colin Raye.

Once he got his record deal, he released #1 songs like "just another day in paradise”, or "Six Pack Summer".

Taking the long road and navigating his career one day at a time, embracing the journey and remaining authentic to his own voice. He says writing a song is like opening a vein. Revealing your inner thoughts and emotions and vulnerabilities.
