Country Today is at the EvokeAg conference at the Melbourne Convention centre.  It’s all about innovation. Victoria’s Agriculture Minister Ros Spence addressed the conference and announced she has approved the first virtual fencing product, it’s called Halter and it’s been trialled at the State Government Ellinbank centre.

Brad Fruth is a keynote speaker here and the Director of Innovation at Beck’s Hybrids, the largest family-owned seed company in America.

And it feels like the future is already happening in the paddocks of Western Victoria, with Tim Farquharson of Bushy Park Angus.

Carbon Assets Solutions uses atomic neutron technology developed by the US Department of Agriculture to measure soil data including carbon, soil profile and nutrients.

Cool Emerge is a spray product developed by the Hebrew University in Jerusalem that can increase horticulture crop yields by reducing thermal stress.
