Whilst there wasn’t a big spend on agriculture family farmers will be greatly relieved to hear they haven’t lost the exemption for capital games tax.

One agricultural sector is devastated by its omission from the Federal Budget. That’s the wine industry. Wine grape growers are going out backwards and they wanted govt assistance for an orderly transition.

There were a few other snippets of funding for agriculture: 8.7 million for  APVMA  and another  commitment was to Australian low carbon liquid fuel production, that is, bioefuels.
