The Murray Darling basin authority has released an outlook report to guide how water is used into the future. And in short, we need to Prepare for a hotter, drier Basin. So what are the implications, particularly for southern basin irrigators and communities? Andrew McConville is Chief Executive of the MDBA.

And while we’re talking about the basin plan, the Moira Shire Council in Northern Victoria is deeply concerned by the Federal Government’s plan to expand its water buybacks by an additional 130 gigalitres.

The CFA is calling for community members to join an important network of Citizen Scientists as Grassland Curing Observers.
