It was one of those badly kept secrets. Former National Party leader Barnaby Joyce has resigned and will most likely join Pauline Hanson’s One nation party. Head of Politics at Monash University, Zareh Ghazarian.

Also Victorian Nationals senator Bridget McKenzie, never one to mince her words, with her response to the resignation of Barnaby Joyce.

Federal Government's passing of new environment laws through the Senate after cutting a deal with the Greens. The National Farmers Federation is "bitterly disappointed"  with the deal. National Farmers’ Federation president Hamish McIntyre.

The cool season has lead to a slow start in this year's cherry harvest.
