County addresses issues related to cities' dispatch switch

The Box Elder County Commission took action last Wednesday to address communication interoperability concerns in the wake of several municipal emergency services agencies switching to Weber emergency dispatch, and discussed a potential fate of the Box Elder Communication Center. The commission approved an ,000 expenditure to upgrade sheriff’s office radios so deputies can communicate with neighboring agencies that are moving to Weber’s encrypted radio systems.
