Box Elder County has received a 1,450 grant from the Utah Department of Public Safety to provide mental health counseling services for staff in the county attorney’s office and the Children’s Justice Center. The county commission approved the agreement during its May 14 meeting. The funding is part of the same legislative initiative—House Bill 23 from 2022—that recently supported a separate mental health services contract for first responders in the county.
