For citizens like Courtney Humbaugh (and me), finding  our most basic personal health history means fighting a maze of government laws and regulations.

Orphans, foster kids… ANY adult can get their original birth certificates and the DNA history that goes with it no problem. Not adoptees.

Now Courtney and many other adult adoptees, birth parents and adopting parents are trying to change that old law in our home state of Georgia.

With the vast majority of lawmakers in favor, why is it taking years to get a vote to the floor and the bill to the Governor?
