Deuteronomy 27–29 teaches that God’s covenant is holy, His curse against sin is real, and the deepest issue is the condition of the heart before Him. These chapters confront shallow religion and remind us that no one can live under God’s covenant casually. Blessing and curse are not games. The Lord sees the inward man.
