What if the power you need isnt something you have to create? Jesus appeared to His disciples while they were hiding behind locked doors and gave them the Holy SpiritGods empowering presence. They did nothing impressive to earn or receive this gift; Jesus found them in their fear and failure anyway. No one is too broken, too sinful, too skeptical, or too far gone for Jesus to walk through the locked doors of their life. He wants to draw us into an intimate relationship with Him and empower us to join what He is doing in the world. Instead of comparing, measuring, or wondering whether we have enough, Jesus invites us to simply receive. What might change if your prayer became, Jesus, I want more of what You have for me?

Is there a locked room in your heart where bitterness has been growing? Jesus is ready to walk through that door too.

What if the people Jesus chooses to change the world are the ones everyone else has already passed over? In first-century culture, only the best of the best were invited to follow a rabbi. Everyone else was sent home, and yet those are exactly the people Jesus called! If you have ever felt like you are not qualified, not impressive enough, or not far enough along, take another look at the people Jesus chose. A life that matters is not built on achievement or approval, but on following Jesus UP toward God, IN with community, and OUT to bless the world. That is the life you were made for!

God loves you exactly as you are, and He loves you far too much to leave you that way. Just like a house that needs remodeling, you don't have to fix everything before Jesus comes in; you simply open the door for Him. What area of your life have you been keeping closed off from Him because you are ashamed of the mess? God's dunamis (dynamite) power is ready to do what you cannot do on your own.

Who you follow shapes who you become. Every habit, every voice, every influence is quietly forming your identity. What are you actually following, and where is it leading you? Is it taking you closer to Him or further away? Jesus does not ask you to have it all figured out before you take the next step. He simply says, "Come and see."
