Covenant prayer for a water-only fast Almighty and holy God today I enter into a covenant of fasting with You I lay aside all earthly comforts and choose only water as a sign of my dependence on You the living water who satisfies all things I do not fast to be seen by others nor to earn Your favor but to humble myself before You to seek Your will to align my spirit with Yours and to be transformed from the inside out Lord I acknowledge that this water-only fast is not easy My flesh will grow weak but I ask You strengthen my spirit When hunger rises let it become a cry for more of You When weakness comes be my strength and my shield When I feel empty fill me with Your word Your presence and Your peace I make this covenant with reverence and surrender Refine me in the quiet Purify me in the hunger Speak clearly in the stillness Break every chain that holds me back and renew the fire of first love for You in my soul Let this fast bring breakthrough healing and intimacy with You Make me more like Jesus who fasted and prayed who lived not by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth I seal this covenant today trusting in Your grace to carry me through You are my sustainer my portion my strength Be glorified in this fast and let my life be a living offering unto You In Jesus' powerful name I pray Amen
