COVER A FATHER’S NAKEDNESS

Genesis 9:23 KJV - 3 And Shem and Japheth TOOK A GARMENT, and laid it UPON BOTH THEIR SHOULDERS, and WENT BACKWARD, and COVERED THE NAKEDNESS OF THEIR FATHER; and their FACES WERE BACKWARD, and they SAW NOT THEIR FATHER’S NAKEDNESS.
Don’t be in the habit of easily remembering people’s faults, shame or nakedness, especially that of people who are older than you and can be your father or mother. People are vulnerable. We are all vulnerable and sometimes we can become so unaware of ourselves that our weak sides show up. Be in the habit of quickly covering up when a father’s weakness shows.
Shem and Japhet took a garment and laid it upon their shoulders. The Bible says,
Isaiah 9:6 KJV - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Shem and Japhet governed or became leaders because they had a good understanding of covering the shame of fathers. You must become one who does not mock the weakness of a predecessor or expose it. You must have a heavy understanding of shielding and protecting fathers from all forms of mockery by looking away from their weaknesses or failures and instead holding out coverings or garments that you have gotten or made to cover their failings. This becomes the power of your anointed leadership. This is what will ever put you ahead of your peers.
Become merciful.
