Construction Week's Ashley Williams and Anup Oommen round up the coverage from Gitex 2019, a technology trade show held at Dubai's World Trade Centre at the beginning of October.

Williams spoke about two exclusive interviews conducted with Construction Week including Evoteq's CEO, Jihad Tayara, and Oracle's senior vice president for the Middle East, India and Africa, Arun Khehar.

Tayara spoke about Evoteq launching Sharjah's first data centre as part of the emirate's 'digital transformation' plan, while Khehar revealed its collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance to install a cloud-based platform for the government building.
