Sin brings not only guilt, but shame, rejection, and reproach. Psalm 69 reveals a Savior who bears insults, scorn, and humiliation in faithful obedience to God’s will. Jesus carries the weight of disgrace that belongs to us, enduring mockery so that we might stand unashamed before God. This psalm reminds us that Christ’s cross covers more than wrongdoing—it covers dishonor and hurt. In this service, we see how deeply and completely Christ covers his people.
