Covid-19 has really changed a lot of things, if not everything, and it has got industries rethinking their ‘business as usual’ models. This is no different for the Wholesale and Retail Industry.
South African retailers are known for sourcing products abroad and product sourcing will be affected negatively as products may be delayed or shipments may be quarantined (because how the virus spreads is still a matter of speculation).

Sourcing new suppliers takes substantial amounts of time and money, and in some cases there may not be an alternative supplier, resulting in the retailer being unable to secure stock of a certain product.
Is this not an opportunity to expand our manufacturing capacity and seriously advance our industrialization efforts?
