It started with the concept of boosters shots gaining traction from the head of Pfizer.

Then, many in the medical and science communities joined in.

Next, President Biden set a date to begin deploying them -- and that day was supposed to be today.

But, at the end of last week, an FDA panel recommended against boosters for most Americans, with a few exceptions.

And that's still not the end.  This week, the issue goes before the CDC for review.

But one thing is for sure: science evolves.

As more data becomes available and more research is done, our understanding of the issue should evolve too.

Today, we take a closer look at the latest guidance on boosters and what happens next, plus we explore developments in vaccines for children ages 5 to 11, for which Pfizer plans to seek emergency authorization soon.
