If you had CoVid, there is still a 1 in 10 chance of reinfection. Researchers at New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital followed 2,346 predominately male Marines 18-20 years of age over a 6 month study period. Those entering the study with CoVid antibodies were considered to have been infected.
Ten percent became reinfected. The reinfected had significantly lower anti-CoVid antibody levels as the result of their first infections. The reinfected were predominately (84%) asymptomatic, but they harbored sufficient virus to infect others.
Even if you had CoVid, get the vaccine since your natural infection produces insufficient protective antibodies. Studies show that you need only a single dose.
