Should patients who have not received the COVID-19 vaccination be declined for transplant?
The idea of vaccination prior to transplantation is not new, and with the scarcity of organ availability, doctors want to make sure that the person getting the organ has every means at their disposal to stay healthy. But with the lack of long-term data with the vaccination being so new, is it right to deny transplantation based on this one part of one criteria?
