Movie star Joel McCrea starred as Texas Ranger Jayce Pearson, who used the latest scientific techniques to identify the criminals and his faithful horse, Charcoal, to track them down.
Plot
Quality upgrade, network version of cat. #5888. A young Mexican is the killer of a young accountant in Lover's Lane. The date is subject to correction. The program was repeated on November 11, 1951. + It is 1:37 am September 9th, 1945, when John Meston, a wealthy rancher, is awakened by a speeding car screeching to a stop outside his house. His daughter Connie Meston comes running up the stairs screaming hysterically. She tells him that Bob is dead and that she is terrified of a man with a bandana over his face on the old cattle road east of the ranch who had tried to hold them up as they were parked there. The sheriff is called in, and he calls in Jace Pearson of the Texas Rangers to investigate the murder.
