Next month is the announcement of the Edgar Award winners. The 76th Annual Edgar® Awards will be celebrated on April 28, 2022 . Nominees for the best of the best in mystery fiction, non-fiction and television published or produced in 2021 were announced on January 19, 2022, on the celebration of the 213th anniversary of the birth of Edgar Allan Poe. Well, reviewing these 4 was certainly a different outcome than I expected. I know understand better why Rhys Bowen’s books check out so frequently at the library, as she is a good author. But, technically, since it wasn’t a cozy mystery, but just a historical mystery, it’s out of the running for my list of winners. If it was in the running, I’d have a hard time deciding…but here's my opinion on who should win the The Simon & Schuster Mary Higgins Clark Award:
