Crabs are helping me fight cancer! I know, I know, that sounds crazy. But they are. So here’s the story on that. I am a reality TV junkie.And at the beginning of my journey to beat this beast, I had a lot of downtime thanks to my surgery. I was also trying to wrap my mind around everything that was happening and how I was going to continue to do all the things I needed to do and beat cancer’s ass.

And there was a show that totally sucked me in called Deadliest Catch. It is about a fleet of elite crab fishermen and women who literally put their lives on the line to bring in the big catch and make that money. But it was this show that taught me something very important.
