Law enforcement agencies and the National Consumer Commission (NCC) say they will continue to probe and investigate other pyramid schemes in the country. Law enforcement agencies this week put brakes on Up Money - a pyramid scheme that embezzled thousands of Rands from unsuspecting consumers. This led to the freezing of bank accounts and seizure of assets including three luxury motor vehicles of Up Money. Why do these pyramid schemes keep mushrooming? Is it our laws?
