🧠In this episode of Will It Matter?, we unpack:
• Cradle Healthcare's groundbreaking work on reversible cryopreservation, aiming to freeze terminally ill patients for revival in a future when cures exist.
• The potential impact of this technology on extending human life and grappling with mortality itself.
• The immense technical challenges and ethical quandaries that stand in the way of making reversible human cryopreservation a reality.

💌 Quick note:
It’s turning out many of those different chemistry and physics concepts we were taught in high school can be put to good use in the real world. Prime example is the application of the states of matter and thermodynamics when it comes to freezing biological things.
Another example of cryopreservation that I had heard of but knew little about the actual experience is women freezing their eggs. I found this video from Cleo Adams to be insightful: https://youtu.be/98R8ObXlR1E
