On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, a fatal crash occurred in the 5700 block of Central Avenue involving a vehicle and a Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) bus. The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while a 50-year-old passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.

Moving on to the job market, we have some exciting updates. Charlotte is expected to have over 30,000 tech job openings in 2025, making it an ideal time for aspiring tech professionals.
