Today's conversation lead me into Sports Rehab Consulting in Denver, CO as I hung out with Allison Hubbard and Physical Therapist Kristen Douhan for their session for the day. 

Allison has been a long time ACL CLUB member and supporter and had a great idea for me to come in and talk with her and her physical therapist. 

What we learned was that education is a two way street, your mind is connected to your healing journey much more than we originally think, and that breaking things down and restarting can be the best thing for us when it comes to full health.

Carrie Lawrence was at the top of her game this off-season. After a different journey into NWSL, she not only became a regular with the Orlando Pride, but she recently signed a multi year extension deal to stay with the club. In preseason, Carrie tore her ACL again for the 2nd time. She is now into her rehab process about 5 weeks and speaks to me about the challenges she is facing, how she gets through the highs and lows, and how she is expectant that the journey will help her have a different perspective when she makes it back on the pitch.
