In todays episode the guys decide to take a break from the hypermasculine world of male centered superheroes and instead read a story starring a female lead that is also written by a female author! And that book is, She Hulk, by Rainbow Rowell. To be more specific, the guys read She-Hulk (2022) #1-15 and Sensational She-Hulk (2023) #1-10. Jen Walters is a meta, witty, and down right hilarious character. And in this episodes the guys dive deep into why her perspective, her occupation and her supporting cast of characters makes for a great marvel comic!

Join us for episode 7 of Crashout Comics (a true comic book podcast) as the guys take a look at Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross’ Iconic Marvel Comic, Marvels. Released in 1994, Marvels is a four-issue miniseries that takes place between 1939 (the golden age of comics) and 1974 (the silver age of comics). In this story, we follow photographer Phill Sheldon, a news reporter for the Daily Bugle, who spends his career documenting the birth and subsequent ramifications of Marvel's superheroes. How would the public react to Namor and the Human Torch? Why did people love Captain America during World War II? How easy was it to fall for anti-mutant propaganda? What did people do when the Fantastic Four battled Galactus? And why did Gwen Stacy’s death affect more than just Spider-Man? Watch this episode for the answer to those questions, as we take a look at one of the most important stories in Marvel’s comic history.
