In this episode, I have the opportunity to get to know Carolene Méli. We have an amazing conversation about creating experiences for people as a leader, overcoming communication and language barriers, overcoming insecurity and self doubt as a young inexperienced leader, connecting quickly and building trust, and even touch on one of my favorite topics, stand up comedy and audience feedback.

Carolene Méli is an Experience Strategist and Leadership Mentor helping businesses create exceptional experiences for their employees and their guests through her leadership program ‘Better Your Leadership’ as well as private workshops.

Her expertise stems from over 15 years in global events and entertainment predominantly working for Cirque du Soleil where she ran VIP experience teams across 17 different countries over a 10 year span. She also ran the entertainment department on a cruise ship and was part of numerous store opening teams at Lululemon Athletica.

With the mindset that exceptional leadership will result in an exceptional employee experience and both combined will ultimately produce exceptional guest experiences for the brand, she was forever creating leadership and development workshops and opportunities for her teams. No matter what country she is in or what teams she is leading, her overarching mission is to create the next generation of emotionally intelligent leaders!

Carolene is an avid traveler, having travelled to 41 countries and is currently based in Montenegro. She hosts The Experience Creators on YouTube where she interviews incredible experience creators from around the world diving into her belief that ‘one great experience has the potential to change someone’s world’.
