As Jacob prepares to face his brother Esau for the first time in 20 years, he is afraid for his life.

Jacob goes before God in prayer; he is fearful and he is humbled by his unworthiness, but he believes that God will be faithful to him. As he seeks God's deliverance, Jacob is met by a "man" who wrestles with him throughout the night. The result is that Jacob is left with a lifelong injury.... and a life changing blessing.

The challenge is clear, even for us today: Do we really want God's ultimate blessing in our life at any cost?
