I distinctly remember my first day of teaching middle schoolers.
I didn’t feel prepared.
I didn’t feel confident.
I didn’t feel like I was ready to be “in charge”.
I had no idea what I wanted the year to look like.
Now imagine what my crazy, middle-school students would have done if they knew those things…
If they smelled the fear on my breath…
If I had shown up as THAT person—
Acting on those feelings—
My students would have RUN ME OVER.
So I didn’t do that.
Instead, I thought about my BEST teachers.
And who they showed up as.
Confident.
In charge.
Unthreatened .
Expecting students to listen.
I thought about the teacher I WANTED to be…
And that’s who I showed up as.
From day one.
Now I have three questions for you…
(1) What do you want your business to look like in a year?
(2) What type of person would you have to become in order to run that business?
Think about your time…
Your ethics…
How you are showing up for your audience…
Your openness with your struggles and successes…
Here’s the kicker…
(3) Are you doing TODAY what the future you would need to do?
I’m not saying lie about where you are at.
No…still be open and honest.
But you need to step into the role of that future person.
If you want to reach that place in a year…
If you want to become that person…
You need to start showing up as that person.
Today.
After I go to FHL I will…
Launch my business…
Make my funnel…
Start getting up early…
Be inspired to transform my business…
Be motivated to change people’s lives…
Just stop.
Seriously, Stop.
Stop waiting until some future event to be successful.
Stop waiting until some unknown “perfect situation”.
Stop waiting for some outside factor.
If you aren’t taking action now,
You won’t suddenly develop self-discipline after going to an event.
If you are waiting for everything to perfectly fall into place with absolutely no trials or difficulties…
Then you’ll have to KEEP waiting.
Because it won’t happen.
Trials and difficulties are a part of life.
You won’t be successful until you learn to lean into the trials.
To take action in spite of the difficulties.
To not put it off…but to start today.
It’s easy to dream…
It’s easy to brainstorm ideas…
It’s easy to think of the awesome results you would have if you finally committed to doing “such-and-such”…
But are you taking Consistent Action?
A lot of people plan.
A lot of people have good ideas.
A lot of people “know” exactly what they need to do.
But they never do it.
Or they start!
…and then putter-out when things get tough,
or they get distracted,
or they get bored,
or they’re just too lazy to keep going.
But success doesn’t happen overnight.
Results don’t come after a couple of days.
You don’t suddenly change your habits after three days of massive action.
Whether in business, in your marriage, in your spiritual life, in your parenting, in your friendships, in your health, in your household organization—
Whatever sphere you’re thinking about—
You will NEVER be successful…
You will NEVER have the results you want…
You will NEVER grow into the person you were created to be…
Until you take Consistent Action.
I had a goal to Podcast every day.
I started back in October.
During the first ClickFunnels 30-Day Challenge.
And I did it.
Every. Single. Day.
For over 50 days straight.
And then the holidays hit.
I was traveling with a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 1-year-old.
I was out of routine.
I was with extended family…in an area with SLOW internet.
And I fell off the wagon.
I missed two weeks.
“Oh, I’ll catch up later,” I told myself.
“I’ll just record fourteen episodes all at once…”
But ONE episode in a day is completely different than FOURTEEN.
With so much catching up to do, I was tempted to put it off another day.
And then I realized.
Wait a minute.
I don’t have to “make up” for the days I missed.
I don’t have to do FOURTEEN episodes in one day.
My goal was ONE episode a day.
And today is just ONE day.
So I just need to do ONE episode.
I can have the same goal today that I had the first 50 days.
And so I did it.
ONE episode.
And now I’m back on track with my goals.
So many people set goals.
Especially around New Years.
And when they fail…
When they skip one day…
They put DOUBLE the pressure on themselves the next day.
And then they skip day two.
And now have twice the guilt.
But you don’t need to do that.
What were your goals this year?
What did you plan on doing every day—
That you already failed at?
Don’t feel guilty.
Don’t try to “make up” for missed days by doubling or tripling…or 14x-ing the pressure.
Just start back again with TODAY.
And keep meeting your goals.
One day at a time.
Derailed.
Forced to change priorities...
Or forced to change plans.
But benefits can come through stepping back.
Reevaluating.
And coming back full throttle.

There was a time where I was stuck in my profession.
Stuck in my job.
With no way out.
Well, for me, the only "way out" was to have kids and stay home with then.
That was the only "valid" reason to stop doing what I was doing.
But that was a lie that I was telling my.
The lie that I was stuck prevented me from looking for other opportunities.
Considering what I was actually skilled and talented at.
Finding better ways to use my gifts and skills to serve people.
Whether you have a job or a business...
Check out this episode if you feel stuck.
I used to have a problem.
I was stuck with a mindset of scarcity.
Two years ago, I had no idea how I could make money AND be a stay-at-home-mom.
I thought a few "lucky" people had found jobs where they could do it by working for other people.
I thought a few "lucky" people had created platforms and developed audiences where they could now make money.
But I thought those opportunities where limited.
BUT NOW...
I look around and I see endless opportunity.
I see so many different ways that I could make money.
So many different opportunities to help people solve legitimate needs...and cover my expenses at the same time.
But this comes with another set of problems.
How do you pick just one?
And stay focused on that long enough to actually see success?
Listen to today's episode to hear me talk about these problems.
Two completely different viewpoints.
Two completely different sets of problems.
Most of us are blind to our own gifts.
We see talents in others...
We see their skills...
We see how they could be used to help different needs...
But we struggle seeing ourselves the same way.
We blow-off compliments.
We undermine our accomplishments.
We think our unique abilities aren't a big deal because they come so easily to us.
And we compare our weaknesses to other people's strengths.
Well guess what?
Other people are doing the same thing.
And instead of just noticing their talents.
Instead of just being jealous of their skills.
We need to build THEM up.
Encourage them.
Let them know what they're good at.
Let them know what you appreciate about them.
This can give them SO much clarity in how they should (or could) move forward.
It really is MORE blessed to GIVE than to receive.
